During the last twenty years, the regulation of law firms in Italy has undergone several reforms. This article analyzes the current Italian legal framework, focusing on the consequences of Legal Malpractice both for the firm and for the partners. In addition, the legal systems of France, Germany, England and the United States of America will be explored, noting some common trends in the Western Legal Tradition (e.g. the availability of limited liability, and the interaction between Malpractice and Insurance Law).
