Abstract

The software should become a valid support for the study of the Theodosian Code. Ten years after the publication of the software “ACTI” on CD-ROM, a new edition in open access “ACTI 2.0” hasbeen developed to replace and improve upon the outdated previous version. The collection will not only be available and free of cost to everyone, but also have new tools and graphics allow for a quick comparison between the texts of the imperial constitutionsof the Theodosian Code with their Justinian counterpart. The intersection and the combination of the query keys also allows for new approaches, in any case making the collection a tool for interpretation and in-depth analysis of the complex legislative activityof the late phase of antiquity.
