We discuss some anomalies of the received view concerning propositional logic, semantic information and the meaning of the logical operators. We show that a weaker “informational” approach to the meaning of the logical operators (that was anticipated by W.V.O. Abstract
We discuss some anomalies of the received view concerning propositional logic, semantic information and the meaning of the logical operators. We show that a weaker “informational” approach to the meaning of the logical operators (that was anticipated by W.V.O. Quine) and a corresponding deduction system in the style of natural deduction provides a natural solution to one of these anomalies that is knwon, after Hintikka, as “the scandal of deduction” and looks promising also for the others.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
