Atomi per l'Italia : la vicenda politica, industriale e tecnologica della centrale nucleare ENI di Latina 1956-1972

The book shows how a subject so far considered in the framework of Italian domestic political and economic history is in fact also an episode of wider international dynamics, as the Anglo-American technological competition in atomic power exploitation and the general pattern of energy trends at the turn of 1950s. Particular attention is given to the process of transfer and appropriation of technical know-how. Moreover, the book illustrates how industrial links with foreign entities, as well as research contracts under the aegis of Euratom Community, were expedient for both the development and feuds of Italian nuclear industry.
