Minimally invasive surgery as video-assisted thoracoscopic (VATS) procedures are increasingly performed for treatment of thoracic disease. There has been an evolution of this technique in the past two dcades, from multiple to single port, to decrease postoperative complications and lenght of hospital stay. Recently subxiphoid uniportal procedures allow surgeons to perform anatomical pulmonary resections such as lobectomy or wedge resection and thymectomy.
