During the period January 1990-1993 RMN was used to study 182 knees with differing morbid symptoms the majority of which were related to traumatic episodes. All the patients subsequently underwent arthroscopic and/or surgical confirmation after 15-60 days. The diagnostic accuracy obtained confirms the excellent possibilities offered by RMN in the evaluation of knee pathologies.
