The aim of this paper is to investigate the role of online Student Voice as a means for strengthening student participation in university education. A case study is presented that examines involvement in an online community of undergraduate education students that was established in 2005 at the University of Milan-Bicocca. The study is based on a mixed method approach comprising collection and analysis of data gathered from focus groups, from an online survey, and through longitudinal tracking of online activities (2005-2013). The results indicate that the community represents a significant arena for expressing student voice and for fostering participation in the processes that lead to refinement of the degree course.
