The paper recalls one complication discussed within the standard quantificational paradigm in contemporary ontology, namely the conceptual intricacy imported by the ordering strategies of individuals in relevant classes, having in mind the application of such strategies in empirical sciences. This complication is linked to some crucial, although neglected, notions from the Critique of Judgment, which can offer a solution that is able to face the dilemma between the 'relative' and the 'objective' character of natural kinds.

Abstract
