This article intends to study the representations that the press creates and transmits about neologisms as well as the strategies it exploits to develop them. Without studying the methods of neological formation, we examine the discursive processes in the press which raises the question of neologisms. For this purpose, we will rely on a corpus of articles from the French press gathered from the search engine Europresse in the period 2014-2017. Feedback from readers will also be taken into account. The articles of the corpus will be analyzed through the discourse analyses methods: the marks of dialogism and polyphony will allow to study the recirculation of the speeches concerning some neologisms and to observe, by that, the discursive modalities of construction of representations.
