This essay aims to highlight some possible implications that the recent scientific progress on artificial wombs can produce with respect to the Italian legislation on abortion. The analysis is doubly limited to: the foreseeable, possible, applications in the medium term, and the actual Italian legal system, taking into account the current balancing of its constitutional values.
