Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is frequently used for intraoperative cardiopulmonary support during lung transplantation. Considering that ECMO is potentially associated with major complications, indications for its intraoperative use should be carefully evaluated. Abstract

Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is frequently used for intraoperative cardiopulmonary support during lung transplantation. Considering that ECMO is potentially associated with major complications, indications for its intraoperative use should be carefully evaluated. This study analyzed risk factors for ecmo requirement and mit-term outcome in our institution.
