The subject of this article are verbal constructions as in: ‚außer er hat danach noch angefangen rumzufluchen’ (Folk 00021), ‚äh kommt ma ins schleudern dann’ (Folk 00143) and ‚una donna eh # sta per partorire’ (LIP MA14), ‚comincia a metterti d' accordo con Alessandro’ (LIP FA1) of the spoken German and Italian languages. Their common features are the periphrastic character of the verbal construction and the aspectual-temporal meaning, which describes the imminent presence of an action or the beginning of an action or process. This paper intends to systematically record these verbal ingressive constructions in the spoken varieties of both languages in order to be able to prove their occurrence significantly on the one hand and to identify divergences and or equivalences on the other hand. After a brief introduction on the theoretical basis of construction grammar (CxG) and the verbal category of phasal actionality, I will extract in the data analysis these verbal ingressive constructions (IC) occurring in the corpora of the spoken language of Italian and German and describe them according to their linguistic characteristics. Subsequently, a language comparison shall show the differences and/or similarities of the IC in spoken interactions between the Italian and German language.
