This work is aimed at providing a general survey of the evolution of corporate governance in Italian banking system. This paper describe the position of puvlic decision-makers and the instruments required in order for their action to be effectively and efficiently directed towards the protection of investors, as well as the transparency and competitiveness of finacial markets.
