LA SODDISFAZIONE LAVORATIVA. CONCETTO, MISURAZIONE E RAPPORTO CON LA QUALITÀ DEL LAVORO.

The present thesis is made by five chapters. Each of them is focused on a specific aspect of job satisfaction. The first two chapters undelin the main results from the literature review on this theme. The second chapter analyzes the outcomes of job satisfaction and its determinants. The third chapter is more theoretical and methodological, and regards the measurement of job satisfaction concept using structural equation modelling techniques. The fourth chapter looks at how men and women live differently their jobs in terms of job satisfaction. The fifth and last chapter considers job satisfaction not as dependent variables but as indicator of job quality: the aim is to understand to what extent job satisfaction can be a proxy of the quality of a job.
