L'ambiente informativo nella biblioteca scolastica: progettazione, strumenti e risorse

The information environment in school libraries is complex and composite, consisting of information needs and belief in the educational role of the library, information resources and technologies to manage, organize and manipulate them, as well as human resources and institutional framework; these are different elements that must be present and operate in synergy, because the school library can exist and work properly. This paper aims to identify the conditions of school libraries and the peculiarities of their informative environment, identifying the critical issues of a theoretical, political and technical nature that hinder their development, proposing some possible solutions.

L’ambiente informativo nelle biblioteche scolastiche è complesso e composito, costituito da bisogni informativi e convinzione del ruolo formativo della biblioteca, da risorse informative e tecnologie per gestirle, organizzarle e manipolarle, oltre che da risorse umane e cornice istituzionale; elementi diversi che devono essere presenti e operare in sinergia, perché la biblioteca scolastica stessa possa esistere e funzionare. Questo lavoro si propone di identificare le condizioni delle biblioteche scolastiche e le peculiarità del loro ambiente informativo, individuando le criticità di natura teorica, politica e tecnica che ne impediscono lo sviluppo, proponendo alcune possibili soluzioni.
