We have investigated the magnetic properties of Zn(II)-doped and pure single-chain magnet Co(hfac)2NITPhOMe (CoPhOMe) by means of Muon Spin Rotation in longitudinal fields. Muon Spin Rotation (μSR) offer a local probe (muons) for the investigation of the “local” spin dynamics of the chain. From μSR asymmetry we extracted the muon longitudinal relaxation rate  studied as a function of temperature (1.5<T<300K) at applied magnetic fields H=500, 3500 G, in pure and Zn=1.9%, 5.4% doped compounds. The results have been compared with 1H Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spin lattice relaxation rate behavior, previously measured on the same compounds

Abstract

We have investigated the magnetic properties of Zn(II)-doped and pure single-chain magnet Co(hfac)2NITPhOMe (CoPhOMe) by means of Muon Spin Rotation in longitudinal fields. Muon Spin Rotation (μSR) offer a local probe (muons) for the investigation of the “local” spin dynamics of the chain. From μSR asymmetry we extracted the muon longitudinal relaxation rate  studied as a function of temperature (1.5
