In this paper, we propose to verify whether and, if so, to what extent, new lexicographical typologies have changed users’ representations of lexicographic tools in general. In other words, do users always consult historical lexicographical references or,, have new dictionaries succeeded in replacing them, because of their greater speed of consultation? Moreover, reflecting on lexicographical typologies also raises questions around linguistic norms: since dictionaries have always been considered as carrier of a normative linguistic ideology, we will try to verify whether the choice to use new lexicographical tools indicates a decentralization of linguistic norm.

Abstract
In this paper, we propose to verify whether and, if so, to what extent, new lexicographical typologies have changed users’ representations of lexicographic tools in general. In other words, do users always consult historical lexicographical references or,, have new dictionaries succeeded in replacing them, because of their greater speed of consultation? Moreover, reflecting on lexicographical typologies also raises questions around linguistic norms: since dictionaries have always been considered as carrier of a normative linguistic ideology, we will try to verify whether the choice to use new lexicographical tools indicates a decentralization of linguistic norm.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
