Diagnosis of tinnitus is a challenge for a variety of reasons. Many etiologies can result in the same symptom. Even though hearing disorders are the most important risk factors for the development of tinnitus, other diseases such as brain tumors, neck injuries, TMJ dysfunction or emotional disorders generally covered by other disciplines can be involved in the etiology or continuation of tinnitus. Therefore, an integrated multidisciplinary approach is required. The team should consist of ORL, audiologists, neurologists, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, neuroradiologist, dentists etc.
