Abstract
A growing literature points that health reforms have been overly focused on structural change (e.g., introduction of general management tools, creation of quasi-market mechanisms, mergers, etc.) rather than on cultural change. It is increasingly recognized that structural reforms alone cannot secure adequate and efficient organizational change, but they need also cultural changes. The paper presents a literature review on organizational culture and change applied to healthcare organizations. The aims of the work are, on one hand, understand why the study of these topics is relevant for the managerial practices and the policy makers and, on the other hand, indicate the future prospects of Italian research.Pubblicazioni consigliate
