Presentation of the life and activities of Victor Loret (1859-1946) through the documentation preserved in his archives in the Statale University of Milan. The core of the article is devoted to the discovery of the KV 35, the tomb of Amenhotep II also known as the "Second Royal Cache", as well as to the recent hypothesis of identification of all the mummies found in the tomb.
