Over the years, Italian immigrant culture has represented itself with an acute sense of its spatial belonging. Its “global geography” (D. Abstract
Over the years, Italian immigrant culture has represented itself with an acute sense of its spatial belonging. Its “global geography” (D. Gabaccia) has been mimetically reflected in the various forms of its imaginary – in literary works, artistic products, architectural structures, etc. Even its rhetorical tropes are the expression of a keen familiarity with a “sense of places”: see for instance the recurring descriptions, and the use of the picaresque.File in questo prodotto:
