This study aims to look through the documents which can help us to date the discovery by Marino Statileo of the Fragmentum Traguriense of Petronian Cena Trimalchionis in the XVIIth century. It gives new evidence for a date around 1645. Besides it confirms the attibution of Marini Statilei Responsio to the French physician Pierre Petit.
