The present work proposes an intercultural pragmalinguistic didactive activity about politeness which can be observed while managing disagreement. Two systems are compared, the Italian and the Spanish one. The activity, due to its double value, can be defined as a «researching-learning» activity. For students, the FLT class becomes a space in which, besides carrying out an L2 linguistic-functional study, they start to develop pragmalinguistic competence. At the same time, professors have the possibility to collect politeness data to work on models that allow to show cultural relativism.

Abstract

En el presente trabajo se propone una actividad didáctica de corte pragmalingüístico contrastivo intercultural sobre el tema de la cortesía verbal que se puede observar en la divergencia de opinión. Se comparan los sistemas italiano y español. La actividad, por su doble valor, se caracteriza como una «investigación -aprendizaje». Para los estudiantes, la clase de E/LE se transforma en un espacio en el que además del estudio lingüístico-funcional de L2, empiezan a desarrollar competencia pragmalingüística. Al mismo tiempo, los profesores tienen la posibilidad de recoger datos sobre la conducta verbal de cortesía para elaborar modelos culturalmente relativizados.
