This contribution studies the relationship between anthropology, literature and philosophy in an African initiation tale. In particular, in this case study the ancient African oneiromancy is read though a new perspective which takes into account some ideas about exsistence and freedom stated by Michel Foucault in his Introduction to “The Dream and existence” (1954).
