Aim: To explore primary health care (PHC) professionals’ knowledge of the existing and potential role of health promotion in a PHC setting, as well as their experience on currently implemented health promotion practices in PHC settings, and to record the barriers which health professionals identify towards implementation of health promotion practices in PHC in Greece. Method: The sample consisted of 30 health professionals and in total were conducted six focus groups, each one including three to seven persons.
