In the present paper the reader will find (a) some thoughts about the questions relating to the first step of the transmision of Isocrates’ Corpus, which were arguably influenced by the author himself; (b) a discussion of the ordo orationum in the Corpus of Isocrates speeches; (c) some specimina of textual criticism on some passages of Isocrates’ Against the Sophistes.
