The media are the most important source of influence upon the evolution of modern Chinese language. On the one hand, in the Internet era, Chinese has absorbed a large number of loans, mainly from English: these not only have influenced the Chinese language and enriched the Chinese vocabulary, but also caused changes in Chinese morphology and in its synonymic and stylistic systems as well.
