A study of the function and hierarchy of the íryw-m∂t «Keepers of writings», mentioned around one hundred times in the IIIrd millennium B.C. The title is attested in the Memphite and provincial cemeteries, in tomb inscriptions and graffiti, as well as on statues, stelae, offering tables, papyrus and clay-tablets.
Étude du rôle et de la hiérarchie des íryw-m∂t «Préposés aux écrits», dont une centaine d'attestations est connue au IIIe millénaire av. J.-C. Le titre apparaît dans les nécropoles memphites et provinciales dans les inscriptions des tombeaux et les graffiti ainsi que sur des statues, stèles, tables d'offrandes, papyrus et tablettes d'argile.
