Recently developed organocatalytic stereoselective transformations will be presented, including reactions of nitroacrylates, synthesis of chiral and trifluoromethyl amines, direct catalytic thioester aldol reactions; reaction mechanisms and a possible rationalization of the stereochemical outcome will be also discussed. Some of the same transformations have been performed in catalytic reactors, in flow mode: recent developments will be presented, highlighting also the possibility to perform organocatalytic reactions in microreactors.
