An epitome of Gregory the Great''s Moralia, called "Epitome Marrier" and preserved in three maniscripts from Carolingia age, can be attributed to Benedict of Aniane, the monastic reformer of the Charles the Great age, for stylistic and contenutistic reasons. To the same abbot can be attributed a commentary on the biblical books of Kings, preserved only in ms. Paris, Bibliothèque Nationale, lat. 15679, containing the exegetical collection of Theodulf of Orléans.
