Introduction: we define “Planned complex suicide” (PCS) those rare, inusual and auto-suppressive dynamics with a combination of at least two different damaging modalities, variedly associates to each other. Methods: The Authors signal an unusual case of planned complex suicide, that got to the Department of Legal Medicine in Milano. It concerns a sixty-year-old woman, who was suffering from depression and was being medically treated for it. She was found dead in her own home with a plastic bag knotted around her head, burnt papers under a comforter placed over her body and burning embers next to her feet. Results: the extense burning of the skin with the exposition of underlying muscular tissue found on the body and the post-mortem analysis results, agree on identify the cause of exitus on a complex planned modality: burns and asphyxiation by plastic bag-suffocation. Conclusions: the Authors, even faced with the rare damage modality which is not of easy interpretation combined with the causes of execution, have come to agree on an suicide event based on the congruence of anamnestic and forensic data.
