A novel concept of saccharide vaccines is described. These are formed by multivalent and multi-functional systems in which synthetic antigens and adjuvants of the immune system are linked to a central core of Au nanoparticles, dendrimers, or magnetic Fe oxides nanoparticles. A family of synthetic antigens formed by analogs of the repeating unit of the bacterium Neisseria meningitidis type A is described.

Abstract
