The differential diagnosis of vertebral fractures is not always easy, especially in patients with systemic metastatic cancer. In the following article, we present a case in which the primary differential diagnosis was osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture. This was confirmed on vertebral body biopsy, performed during vertebroplasty. We discuss the role of different imaging methods in the preoperative diagnosis of these fractures

Abstract
