The aim of my survey is to record the way in which competences were accumulated and developed in Azienda Generale Italiana Petroli (AGIP) after the Second World War, while Enrico Mattei was head of the company. My hypothesis is that it is possible to explain a considerable part both of the success and of the failure of the Italian state owned oil company in the post-war period concerning to the suitability of its core of competences for the needs imposed by the environment (first national then international).

Abstract
The aim of my survey is to record the way in which competences were accumulated and developed in Azienda Generale Italiana Petroli (AGIP) after the Second World War, while Enrico Mattei was head of the company. My hypothesis is that it is possible to explain a considerable part both of the success and of the failure of the Italian state owned oil company in the post-war period concerning to the suitability of its core of competences for the needs imposed by the environment (first national then international).Pubblicazioni consigliate
