To unveil the interactions that exist between AAB and their symbionts, investigating a metabolically linked one to other in order to find new strategies of biocontrol of pathogen transmission in host. Acetic Acid Bacteria (AAB) growth curve was evaluated from D. suzukii and Anopheles, which belongs to four genera, i.e. Gluconacetobacter, Gluconobacter, Acetobacter and Asaia. During the growth culture, some of the AAB species produced aggregates while others were not. Finally, aggregating strains were showing higher biomass yield (mg/ml of culture) at late exponential phase compared to non-aggregates. Further evaluation of AAB proteome (2D-PAGE) is on progress.
