The analysis of the corpus of the literary and oral heritage of sub-Saharan Africa shows that there is a coincidence between childhood and writing (or inscription) in African literary field; that the figure of the child (boys or girls) always conveys metaphorical content related to History, with a capital H; finally, that this historic mission entrusted to childhood takes place constantly (since the very beginnings) in the name of fighting.
