The lararium paintings constitute the main expression of worship dedicated to the Lares in Pompei. They have been restored massively in the burnt down areas, in houses as well as in commercial production structures. In the age-old history of studies included in the so-called popular painting, these frescos represent the ritual scene. In the present study I propose to ascribe some lararia in two main workshops.

Abstract
