This short article aims to re-attribute three portraits to artists that were active in Venice between the end of the fifteenth century and the beginning of the sixteenth century: Jacometto, Marco Basaiti, Andrea Previtali. This process of re-attibution is taken as a chance to put new light on the evolution of Venetian Renaissance portraiture, starting from the artistic world of Antonello da Messina and Bellini and arriving to Lorenzo Lotto's.
