To expand the frontiers of knowledge of his time, Feijoo must first overcome the boundaries that separate him from the reader, the addressee of his huge work. In this paper, we analyze persuasive techniques of the issuer (especially in the Prologues of the "Teatro crítico universal") and we highlights the significant value of the metaphor of the "spider web".
