Understand in which direction to go requires to expand analysis for all purposes, tangible and intangible, that make agriculture able to generate the sense of the place. On this theme is focused the research on the “rural vernacular heritage” that University of Milan launched in partnership with UNESCO World Heritage Centre. The meaning "rural" expands the concept of “vernacular” to all relations, environmental and human and economic, generated by the combination of agriculture with each site.
