Multiaward-winning writer, playwright and controversial novelist Hanif Kureishi is this year’s distinguished guest of Intercultural Dialogues, the innovative three year project co-ordinated by the University of Milan in collaboration with Cardiff University. In search of a view of contemporary Britain that transcends national differences and ethnic divides, Intercultural Dialogues engages with playwrights whose work challenges received notions of identity and cultural belonging. After working with Rani Moorhy in 2011 and Kwame Kwei Armah in 2012, we are honoured to welcome Hanif Kureishi to Milan. Abstract
One of the most intersting voices in contemporary Britain, Kureishi’s work invites us to reflect on the composite make-up of contemporary society.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
