Biodiesel is a liquid biofuel that is defined as fatty acid methyl ester matching certain standards. The two most common standards setting the characteristic of biodiesel are EN 14214 (European Commission) and ASTM 6751 (American Society for Testing and Materials). The main techniques to perform esterification and transesterification reaction in the biodiesel production using ultrasound or microwave will be presented.

Abstract
Biodiesel is a liquid biofuel that is defined as fatty acid methyl ester matching certain standards. The two most common standards setting the characteristic of biodiesel are EN 14214 (European Commission) and ASTM 6751 (American Society for Testing and Materials). The main techniques to perform esterification and transesterification reaction in the biodiesel production using ultrasound or microwave will be presented.Pubblicazioni consigliate
