This paper discusses some factors to be considered to obtain the maximum yield from biogas plant. These factors include the construction materials, quantity and quality of the biomass input, and the technologies adopted. Some physical, thermal, mechanical, ultrasound, magnetic field and biochemical treatments on how to increase the degradability of organic substances are highlighted.
