In addition to quantifying the varying frequency of various foot pathologies using the radiographic foot corner evaluation techniques reported in the literature, this study aimed to establish which were the most appropriate parameters to classify the pathologies in question. The authors analysed radiograms for 5 cases of hallux valgus, 5 cases of flatfoot, 3 cases of clubfoot, 1 of spastic tetraparesis and 1 of severe congenital podalic dysmorphism. All patients enrolled in the study were monitored at the CTO in Milan. The results obtained show that, for a correct classification, the evaluation of complex osteoarticular anomalies calls for the study of corners which quantify the possible repercussions of these pathologies on tibio-astragalar relations, as well as the use of corner parameters to indicate the extent of pathology. It also appeared to be possible to substitute-angles whose radiographical characteristics did not allow the repair points to be identified or whose measurements could not be taken due to limited patient compliance with other individual corners of similar significance. Lastly, the authors highlight the possibility of utilising a few of the corners in question, such as Fiorin 's corner, for purposes other than those most frequently described in the literature.
