Giant lipomas are rare benign neoformations. Initially, differential diagnosis has to be made with malignant lesions presenting a much worse prognosis, such as liposarcomas. A definitive non-invasive diagnosis is, however, often impossible. Radical surgical removal is therefore the therapeutic approach of choice. A clinical case of particular interest for the rare anatomical localisation and the considerable dimensions of the neoformation is reported.

Abstract
Giant lipomas are rare benign neoformations. Initially, differential diagnosis has to be made with malignant lesions presenting a much worse prognosis, such as liposarcomas. A definitive non-invasive diagnosis is, however, often impossible. Radical surgical removal is therefore the therapeutic approach of choice. A clinical case of particular interest for the rare anatomical localisation and the considerable dimensions of the neoformation is reported.File in questo prodotto:
