Aged people life seems to be subjected to constant social and cultural pressures which risk compromising their quality and ability of adjustment even when their satisfaction degree shows positive connotations. Quick and continuous technological and organizing transformations of our contemporary world, retirement problem, means of communication radical innovation, multiethnic and multiratial problem, ostentatious and efficiency prevailing models, growing tensions and conflicts and their massive spreading are a daily and treacherous threat to aged people psychologic, affective and relational integrity. This research purposed to study the attitudes of 100 over sixty people, living in Geriatric Institutes or at their own home in metropolitan areas by means of a semistructural interview using an original questionnaire of psychological survey. Results describe a different situation between men and women in the different considered ages. Both of them live and suffer aggressive tendencies and fears, but they express them in different ways. Men usually develop a greater aggressive tendency, while women chiefly assume a repressive attitude. Considered aged people live prevalently in a satisfactory way, they do efforts of Adjustment, nurse hopes for their future which anyway reserves fears and supposed uneasiness too. Loss of psychophysic autonomy, risk of isolation and forsaking, fear of growing repulsive and coercive attitudes from social environment are the greatest dangers to reached balance and wellbeing. Men seem to be more vulnerable after the age of seventy with a possibility of resortation in the following years. Women seem to be more inclined to face old age, even if they seem to show a particular tendency towards isolation after the age of eighty. Aged people quality of life is also due to the degree of their community mutual understanding and civilization and gets its value from the interest and the wish to live in an active and participating way.

Abstract
Aged people quality of life is also due to the degree of their community mutual understanding and civilization and gets its value from the interest and the wish to live in an active and participating way.Pubblicazioni consigliate
