The identification of two ancient sculptures – a Bacchus and a Warrior – of the famous Giustiniani collection, found in an auction catalogue of 1969, allows to reconstruct the history of some Roman statues and inscriptions from the Altoviti and Giustiniani collections in Rome, between the late nineteenth and early twentieth century entered into the family homes of bankers Cahen, the castle of Torre Alfina (Viterbo) and Allerona villa near Orvieto. On the collections of art and antiquity of the family there are few reports, that make it difficult to reconstruct the events, ending with the dispersion after the transfer abroad of the last Cahen.
