The study, through the analysis and comparison of two clinical cases, examines the most significant emotional and social factor causing the functional symptomatology. The psychodynamic interpretation of the symptom in two cases reported leads to the hypothesis that, in childhood, functional seizures, in the presence of other necessary causative factors such as emotional disorders and pathological features of the family relationship, may have as cause or significance the fear of seizures and loss of control during seizure activity, as well as being a call for help from parents.

Abstract
The study, through the analysis and comparison of two clinical cases, examines the most significant emotional and social factor causing the functional symptomatology. The psychodynamic interpretation of the symptom in two cases reported leads to the hypothesis that, in childhood, functional seizures, in the presence of other necessary causative factors such as emotional disorders and pathological features of the family relationship, may have as cause or significance the fear of seizures and loss of control during seizure activity, as well as being a call for help from parents.Pubblicazioni consigliate
