Seven subjects affected by svere Raynaud's phenomenon, unresponsive to the usual medical treatment, were treated with plasma exchange. Three patients had some immunological tests positive, without showing a specific immunologic disease. Two patients had been submitted to thorcic gangliectomy with poor reults and showed digital ulcers. Plasma exchange was done every other day for 3 times, measuring blood and plasma viscosity before, immediately after and a week after the treatment. In two patients out of seven a definite improvement of symptoms was observed, with healing of ulcers. A haemodynamic evaluation with doppler velocimetry was done in all patients, shiwing a better blood flow in two cases. A transitenblood viscosity decrease was observed.

Abstract
A transitenblood viscosity decrease was observed.Pubblicazioni consigliate
