Thesis 99 : un accordo strategico tra gli atenei

The research proposes some guidelines for the management and digital archiving of theses discussed in Italian universities_ Identifies the dual nature and the dual function of the thesis: significant research work for the intellectual and scientific content to be managed and preserved by libraries, but also administrative document that confirms the end of the university path and completes the dossier of the student and must be managed and preserved by an archival structure_ An information resource with scientific  relevance, scientific and but an administrative document as well, then_ two paths and two different management types, which have to be harmonized. __ The study defines the organizational and legal behaviour in relation to procedures for delivery of the documents and the authorship of the thesis, also gives guide lines which determine what should be the process of acquiring and managing thesis, and what should be the means of access to information on the dissertation_

La ricerca propone delle linee guida per la gestione e archiviazione digitale delle tesi di laurea discusse nelle Università italiane. Individua la doppia natura ed la doppia funzione delle tesi di laurea: lavoro di ricerca significativo per il contenuto intellettuale e scientifico che deve essere gestito e conservato dalle biblioteche, ma anche documento amministrativo che sancisce la conclusione di un percorso universitario e completa il fascicolo dello studente e deve essere gestito e conservato da una struttura archivistica. Risorsa informativa con rilevanza scientifica e documento amministrativo quindi, due percorsi documentari e due tipi di gestione diversi, che vanno conciliati e risolti. Lo studio definisce le linee di comportamento organizzativo e giuridico, in relazione alle procedure di consegna degli elaborati e alla paternità intellettuale della tesi di laurea; traccia inoltre le linee di funzionamento gestionale e giuridico, che stabiliscono quale debba essere il processo di acquisizione e gestione delle tesi, e quali debbano essere le modalità di accesso alle informazioni relative alle tesi.
